Meet your advocate!
Kristi can support you, your family, your student and your teams.
I am a national keynote speaker, education consultant, and social media safety expert. What drives me every single day is much simpler than any credential. I am a mom who believes fiercely in protecting children, and I have made it my life's work to make sure parents and educators have the knowledge and tools to do the same.
When I am not on a stage or traveling to connect with communities across the country, you can find me at home buried in research, trying to keep pace with a digital landscape that never stops changing. It is equal parts fascinating and terrifying …and I would not trade it for anything.
I am also a proud wife to my husband John, and a dedicated mom to two incredible young men who inspire me constantly. Ask me about them and I will happily talk your ear off. Fair warning.
My background is rooted in over twenty years of social work, the majority of which was spent working with youth in clinical settings. I know kids. I know families. And I know what it looks like when something goes wrong because I have sat across from those families and walked through it with them. The inspiration for KNB Communications came from a device-related incident in our own home. That experience changed everything. It lit a fire in me that has never gone out, and it gave me a mission: to make sure other families do not have to learn these lessons the hard way.
Over the last twelve years I have had the privilege of working with more than 300,000 students, parents, and professionals …helping them navigate the very real, very complex challenges of raising and educating children in a digital world. I am a storyteller, a coach, an accidental podcaster, and someone who believes that the right information delivered at the right moment can genuinely change the course of a child's life.
My approach is straightforward: high-level research and expertise, delivered in a way that actually feels human. No jargon. No judgment. Whether we are in a conference room, an auditorium, or a one-on-one coaching session, I want you to feel like you can exhale. Come as you are. Ask the questions you are afraid to ask. And leave feeling equipped and confident…not overwhelmed.
This work matters more right now than it ever has. AI, deepfakes, social media algorithms — the landscape our kids are navigating today is something none of us could have predicted even five years ago. But awareness is power. And together, we can stay ahead of it.
I am so glad you are here.
